A famous composer
Turkish siesta of Igor Kornelyuk
Famous composer Igor Kornelyuk admitted: he has forgotten how to rest. So much so that his tan is a rare event, something that hasn't happened since 1979. A club resort in Turkey became the place where he relearned how to do nothing.
Interview
— Igor, how is your vacation going?
"Wonderful, but in the first few days I didn't know where to put my hands. Books saved me. Now, on the 10th day, I've gotten into the swing of it, but I'm already starting to miss the studio, my son, and our mischievous Labrador. You can't go without rest — otherwise life turns into nonstop work.
"How did the club welcome you?"
— I have a feeling that we've become like family with our consultant Anya. I'm pleasantly surprised by the scale of the company and its approach. I'm even seriously considering becoming a regular client, but for that, I'd need to change my lifestyle.
— Where do you draw your strength from?
— I always rest! When I'm in the studio, I rest from concerts; when I sing, I rest from the studio. Inspiration comes from the beauty of nature and, of course, from our women. Spring, birds, snow-white legs... Isn't that inspiring?
— What do you absolutely want to see in the new country?
—Architecture, national cuisine. In Thailand, I deliberately sought out seedy spots with locals and ate the spiciest food—and it was magnificent! Cuisine conveys the soul of a people. If you haven't tried the local food, consider that you've never been there.
